What is 10 cc?

10cc is an English rock band formed in Manchester in 1972. The original lineup consisted of Graham Gouldman, Eric Stewart, Kevin Godley, and Lol Creme. The band's name comes from the amount of semen in the average male ejaculation (10 cubic centimeters, or cc).

Their early music was characterized by complex arrangements and quirky lyrics, with influences from progressive rock and pop. They achieved mainstream success in the 1970s with hits such as "Rubber Bullets," "I'm Not in Love," and "The Things We Do for Love."

10cc went through several lineup changes over the years, with Gouldman and Stewart remaining the only constant members. They continued to release music throughout the 1980s and 1990s, but with less commercial success.

In addition to their music career, several members of 10cc became known for their work in music production and video directing. Kevin Godley and Lol Creme formed a successful video production company, while Eric Stewart worked as a producer for other artists.

Despite numerous personnel changes and hiatuses, 10cc remains a recognizable name in rock music. Their quirky, innovative approach to songwriting and production continues to influence artists across genres.
